Stained glass making is an craft that’s been around for centuries. The techniques involved have changed very little in the last few hundred years. We’re offering a handful of Camp Kin-ers the chance to have an introduction in the old time skills of stained glass making, with expert artist and sculptor Michael. You’ll be treated to a demonstration and then spend the half-day workshop having a hands on go at all the basics of glass cutting, including a go at freehand techniques, design and learning common motifs and meanings in the craft. You’ll be using all the traditional tools and will craft using recycled materials. This is an amazing opportunity to get familiar with the specialist skill of stained glass making. Set at a very reasonable £25 for the 4 hour workshop, and is perfect taster for anyone who wants to dip their toe in the water. This is an adults only activity.
Michael will also be running drop-in glass mosaic sessions for the kids.
